Mission Substation – Testing & commissioning of the largest substation in the SVP system. 60kV substation, three 50MVA transformer banks with 12kV distribution. Redundant 311L’s protecting the 60kV breakers with 587Z’s for 60kV Bus Protection. 387’s for bank protection, with 587Z’s for 12kV Bus Protection, and 751’s for feeder protection.

This is our second substation project with SVP where we have worked in conjunction with the design engineers (MTH), City of Santa Clara Staff, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL).
Power Pros previous SVP project, De La Cruz Junction Substation, served as the introduction of our commissioning processes and methods to SVP. De La Cruz was a project with an extremely challenging schedule. The station had to be tested, commissioned and energized in less than thirty days. Silicon Valley Power was very pleased with Power Pros performance, our professionalism, our skill, and our effectiveness in executing the work. Mission Substation is to date the largest substation in the SVP system.
